Responsibilities
- 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and structural design
- Material selection for strength, stability, and biocompatibility
- Design optimization and validation
- Technical documentation such as design notes and test reports
- Prototype assembly, debugging, and issue resolution
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering, materials, or biomedical engineering student
- Proficient in SolidWorks, CREO, UG, or similar CAD tools
- Solid mechanical design theory including mechanics of materials
- Mechanical design projects or competition experience preferred
- Spatial reasoning and hands-on assembly skills
- Bio/medical device or behavior monitoring equipment design experience a plus
